Position Overview: The Special Education Teacher will work with students in Kindergarten through 5th grade who require additional support due to an identified disability. You will play a key role in designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), while working closely with general education teachers to ensure successful integration of students into the general education classroom. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a supportive team and engage in the coaching and modeling of skills and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement IEPs for students with executive functioning and behavioral needsā¢Provide individualized and small-group instruction and support
Collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusive, differentiated classroom
Apply evidence-based strategies to support engagement, self-regulation, and achievement
Monitor progress, analyze data, and adjust instruction accordingly
Support staff with behavior management and social-emotional strategies
Communicate with families and participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
