Special Education Teacher
Extended School Year Program
DATES: 7/6/2026-8/6/2026 4 days per week Monday thru Thursday
HOURS: 7:45 am to 12:45 pm = 5 hours per day
or
8:15 am to 1:15pm = 5 hours per day
TITLE: ESY Special Education Teacher
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Appropriate Massachusetts Licensure
? A Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited college or
university with certification in special education
REPORTS TO: Site Coordinator/Program Director
SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Including but not limited to:
? Prepare and implement lesson plans
? Assists the program director as needed
? Will track data as identified in student's IEP and complete progress
reports
? Adhere to ESY requirements
? Overseeing snack and lunch time
? Helping students on/off the bus daily
? Strong communication skills
? Team player
? Good attendance
? Be organized and able to multitask
? Experience working with Elementary, Middle School, and/or High
School students
? Enhance learning for students with special needs in the ESY program
? Works closely with the program director, paraprofessionals and other
teachers to ensure successful implementation of program goals
? Works with special needs students in small group settings to maximize
learning
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Hourly rate in accordance with the FRPS Educators Association Contract
