Special Education Teacher

Summary:
We are seeking a Full Time Special Education Teacher to join our team at Pioneer Middle School. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with students with special needs and have experience in creating individualized education plans (IEPs) to support their learning goals.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide instruction in a variety of subjects, adapting curriculum and teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
- Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure that students with special needs are receiving appropriate accommodations and modifications in the classroom
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns
- Attend IEP meetings and provide input regarding student progress and goals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with special needs, including creating and implementing IEPs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of individual students
- Knowledge of best practices in special education and evidence-based interventions
- Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided.
