Buxmont Academy, a Pennsylvania licensed private academic school, is seeking a full-time special education teacher for their Tatamy Creek campus this fall. If you are a teacher who enjoys working with at-risk students, has excellent interpersonal skills, and relishes new experiences and learning, this position is for you.

Our special education teachers are dedicated and caring! They provide necessary support to both students and their team. They promote a healthy community and encourage positive change. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30am-3:30pm, Fridays until 2:30pm. Salary starts at $42,000 a year.

Primary responsibilities for the special education teacher position include providing 1-on-1 and small group tutoring to students grades 7-12, creating and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEP), and conducting IEP meetings.

Qualified candidates are required to hold a bachelor's degree or higher in education and/or special education, and either PA special education certification or the ability to obtain certification.We welcome qualified candidates who are interested in becoming teachers.   • The capacity to work effectively both independently and with a team.
  • Proficient computer skills.
