    Summer 2025  (July 14-22)

     

    PURPOSE

     

    The teacher of record interest in leading Jump Start will work on executive function skills, time management and basic skills reading and math.

     

    Job Summary:

     

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced summer school special education teacher to assist with basic skills training and remediation.

     

    The ideal candidate will possess expertise in planning, preparing, and delivering intervention support, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills to facilitate seamless support for students.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

     
    1. Lead the instructional groups as assigned by the principal. 

    2. Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and district goals.

    3. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.

    4. Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.

    5. Assess student progress regularly using a variety of assessment tools and adjust instruction accordingly.

    6. Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to support student learning and development.

    7. Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.

    8. Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and support staff to enhance instructional practices.

     

    Qualifications:

     
    1. Valid Indiana State Certification as a Special Education Teacher

    2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or related discipline.

    3. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with special education, or a related field.

    4. Have current CPI training.

    5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including students, families, educators, leadership teams.

    6. Strong organizational and time management skills.
