Special Education Teacher K-5
Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing individualized education to students with special needs, creating and implementing effective lesson plans, and collaborating with other educators and professionals to ensure that each student's needs are met.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in a variety of subjects
- Create and implement effective lesson plans that accommodate the unique needs of each student
- Collaborate with other educators, parents, and professionals to ensure that each student receives the appropriate services and support
- Monitor and assess student progress, and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
- State certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities, including but not limited to autism, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to create and implement effective lesson plans that accommodate the unique needs of each student
- Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with students with special needs.
