Special Education Teacher-Learning Support (Contracted)

The teacher is responsible for individualizing instruction to meet the needs of various learners as a case manager. This individual must demonstrate competency in child development and educational best practices. The teacher must be an instructional leader who is student-centered, able to create and foster a conducive learning environment for students, plan Standards-based lessons, deliver differentiated instruction, utilize various assessment practices to inform instruction and engage in continual reflection of teacher effectiveness.  This teacher will be required to write individualized education plans, progress monitor, and communicate with parents and staff on a regular basis.

Qualifications:
Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education PK-12, Special Education PK-8 or Special Education N-12
 

Special Education Teachers also receive an additional annual stipend in the amount of $2,000!
