TITLE OF POSITION: Otsego High School Special Education Teacher (Full-Time) Level 1


STARTING DATE: 2026-27 School Year


CLOSING DATE: March 12, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.


Otsego Public Schools’ staff is the heart of the district, and we are looking to add a Special Education teacher to our secondary staff. 


Primary tasks (non-exhaustive list):

  • Instruct students with special needs in core content using a variety of techniques, such as pull out intervention groups and push in support into the general education classroom in order to meet students' varying needs.
  • Collaborate with other teachers or administrators to develop, evaluate, or revise secondary school programs.
  • Confer with other staff members to plan or schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved curricula.
  • Confer with parents, administrators, social workers, or other professionals to develop individual educational plans (IEPs) for students' educational, physical, or social development.


Requirements:

  • Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate, with Special Education endorsement
  • Experience in level 1 special education preferred
  • Experience at the secondary level preferred
