Special Education Teacher Pk-12 (Anticipated)

The Hempfield Area School District anticipates openings for Special Education Teachers beginning August 2026.

Requirements:
A valid Pennsylvania Special Education (PK–12) teaching certificate is required.

Special education teachers will provide diagnostic, prescriptive, and instructional services as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with one or more disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting in the development of IEPs, providing appropriate curriculum modifications, and delivering instructional support in accordance with each student’s IEP. Candidates should demonstrate strong classroom management skills, a passion for teaching, and the ability to create an energetic and engaging learning environment that inspires students.
