Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role involves working with students with diverse learning needs in both resource and inclusion settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment, promoting academic achievement, and supporting the social-emotional development of all students.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to create inclusive lesson plans and adapt instructional materials for students with disabilities.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in resource and inclusion settings, ensuring access to the general curriculum.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary to meet individual learning goals.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student strengths and areas for improvement.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to promote a supportive learning environment.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs and other educational plans.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievement and challenges.
- Stay current with best practices in special education and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Advocate for students' needs and collaborate with external agencies and support services as necessary.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid Wyoming PTSB certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in resource and inclusion settings.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
- Must pass background check as per District policy.
