Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Special Education Resource Teacher for the upcoming school year to join an elementary education team. This role is essential in developing and implementing an inclusive curriculum that addresses the individual needs of students, fostering a positive and effective learning environment.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education or a related field.

  • Valid Arizona Elementary Teaching Certificate or equivalent.

  • Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • SEI Endorsement preferred.


Core Job Functions:

  • Establish and maintain a classroom environment that promotes effective learning.

  • Design and deliver learning experiences in line with approved curriculum standards, tailored to the individual needs of students.

  • Develop and utilize various instructional materials and approaches to support diverse learning styles.

  • Communicate learning objectives clearly and organize instruction to meet these goals.

  • Engage in both small group and individualized instruction based on best practices in special education.

  • Incorporate technology to enhance instructional delivery and student learning.

  • Regularly assess student progress, maintaining accurate educational records.

  • Facilitate communication with families regarding student progress and participate in collaborative reviews of student needs.

  • Utilize assessment data to inform instruction and support student placement in appropriate programs.

  • Implement Individual Education Plans effectively, adjusting strategies to meet student needs.

  • Ensure student safety and participate actively in school events and professional development opportunities.
