Adlai E. Stevenson High School (Lincolnshire, IL) is seeking two Special Education Teachers for the 2026 ESY Summer session.

Description:
Stevenson High School is seeking qualified Special Education Teachers to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) during our Extended School Year (ESY) Summer School Program. ESY services are designed to provide targeted instruction and support to eligible students to maintain critical skills. The extended school year (ESY) teacher is responsible for the development and implementation of individualized activities and curriculum for students with mild to moderate disabilities. The applicant must have the ability to collaborate with related service staff members and supervise multiple paraprofessionals to meet the need of the ESY students.

Primary Responsibilities include, but are limited to - Provide specially designed instruction aligned to students’ IEP goals and objectives, implement instructional strategies and accommodations to meet diverse learner needs, collect and document data on student progress toward IEP goals, maintain a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment, communicate professionally with families and staff as appropriate, and adhere to district policies, special education compliance requirements, and ESY procedures.

Licensed Special Education Teacher for ESY Summer School Session I: June 2, 2026 - June 25, 2026

Benefits:

$58 per hour/No additional benefits are associated with this position.

Qualifications:
Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBSI or LBSII endorsement required.
Experience working with secondary student in a structure classroom is preferred.
