Position Details: Special Education Teacher
- Title: Special Education Teacher
- Location: Steger, IL
- Duration: ASAP to 29th May.
- Onsite/Virtual: Onsite
- Position Type: Contract
- Working Hours: 30 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday, 30 min unpaid lunch
- Student Age Group: K-1 self-contained life skills classroom
- Case Load: 8 to 10 students
Responsibilities: SpEd Teacher
- Teach in a K-1 self-contained life skills classroom.
- Support and accommodate 8 to 10 students, several of whom have an Autism diagnosis.
- Assist students who are non-verbal or have limited verbal abilities.
- Provide support to students typically with assistance from paraprofessionals.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and other school staff.
- Work on IEPs and or any other relevant tasks assigned.
Qualifications: Special Education Teacher
- Relevant Bachelors and or Masters degree.
- Active IL PEL license with LBS1 endorsment.
- At least 1 year of SPED teacher experience preferred.
- Experience with ULS preferred.
