Hutchinson Public Schools is seeking two Special Education Teachers for our Transition Assistance Program for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond.
It is preferred that candidates hold DCD, ASD or EBD licensure and Work Based Learning (WBL) licensure from the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) or contact the district for licensure options. The salary range for this position is $47,852.00 per year - $89,129.00 per year. Salary is dependent upon education and experience. This position will work 183 days per year, 8 hours per day.

The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) is a Hutchinson Public Schools educational program for young adults with disabilities ranging in age from 18-22 years. TAP is a community-based program emphasizing work experience and independent living skills. The TAP program assists in providing special education programming to increase a student’s ability to live and work as independently as possible. Services are provided in the areas of Jobs and Job Training, Recreation and Leisure, Community Participation, Home Living, and Post-Secondary Options. Currently, TAP is serving students from Hutchinson, Litchfield, Buffalo Lake-Hector, Glencoe-Silver Lake, and GFW school districts.
