Description: - Hiawatha Valley Education District is seeking on-call Substitute Teachers and Paraprofessionals for Students Acheiving Integrated Learning (SAIL) Setting IV Behavior Program located in Kellogg, MN.
Teacher Job Summary: - Ability to adapt instruction to the varying educational and behavioral demands and needs of the students
- Ability to work with a team of professionals to meet the needs of students
- Ability to collaborate with and provide direction to paraprofessionals
Teacher Qualifications: - Minnesota Teaching Licensed issued by Minnesota Department of Education
- Experience working with students/children preferred
Paraprofessional Job Summary: - Assisting teachers in their teaching duties and other general responsibilities
- Adapts classroom activities, assignments and/or materials under the direction of the supervising teacher
- Monitors special education students for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment
Paraprofessional Qualifications: - Must meet highly qualified criteria: Associates Degree or higher degree, or meets Minnesota Certified ParaPro Assessment
- Experience working with students/children preferred
Working Conditions: - Office, lifting, sitting, standing, pushing, pulling, keyboarding, etc.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
