Summer Special Education Teachers- ESY 2026

We are currently seeking Summer Special Education Teachers for ESY 2026.  Several Summer Special Education Teacher positions exist within the Division of Student Services of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. These positions are for school age programs throughout the county. Positions are temporary for the duration of the summer program only.

Schedule: (May vary slightly depending on program)

• 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM (6.5 hours a day)
• Monday - Thursday
• A retention bonus of $600 for professionals who work the entirity of the ESY program with no abensenes.

Qualifications:

• Applicants must hold a Valid PDE certification in Special Education or be willing to become emergency certified in the area of Special Education
• Current police, child abuse and FBI fingerprint clearances required.
• Must be able to work entire ESY session.
• Experience working with Special Education Students preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Applicant will be expected to develop and implement an individual instructional program for students.  

Hourly Rate: (Based on Years of Experience)

0-13 years experience= $39.00 per hour
14-28 years experience= $44.00 per hour
29+ years experience= $49.00 per hour

CHAAMP Program- Downingtown, PA 
Transitional Work and LIving Pathway Programs- West Chester, West Grove, and Downingtown, PA 
Chester County Youth Center- West Chester, PA 
Devereux Hospital- Malvern PA
