Support Staff / Paraprofessional

POSITION:     Paraprofessional – Special Education
                       Surline Elementary School
                        5-5.75 hours on days students are in attendance

QUALIFICATIONS:

•   Must pass the ETS Paraprofessional Assessment® (we provide)
          OR a minimum of 60 credit hours,
            OR pass the MTTC,
               OR have an Associates degree,
                 OR achieved at least the minimum scores on one of the following:
                    1) SAT Evidenced Based Reading Writing 480 and Math 530;
                    2) ACT Reading 22 and Combined English Writing 22 and Math 22;
                    3) MME Reading 1108 and Writing 1129 and Mathematics 1116.
• Must be able to carry out planned activities of the teacher/therapist and reinforce goals and objectives.
• Must be able to work independently with individuals and with groups of students.
• Must be willing to attend training opportunities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

SALARY:                    Per USW Agreement (view full on District’s Transparency webpage)
                                   $14.21/Hr. starting wage, .20/hr increase after 60 days
