Position: - 1:1 Paraprofessional
- To provide services at the Trumbull Board of Developmental Disabilities.
Qualifications: - Meet all ESEA requirements.
- Paraprofessional Certificate, Associate or higher degree.
- Ability to physically assist students with impairments, including escorting and therapeutic physical restraint.
- Display empathy and advocacy for students.
- Display skills in following behavior plans and supporting behavioral goals.
- Display skill in working with students in behavioral interventions.
Duties: - Work under the supervision of the Intervention Specialist and provide behavioral and academic support.
- Assist teacher in the supervision of an assigned student and class activities as directed.
- Provide individual support under the direction of the Intervention Specialist.
- Prepare, obtain, and maintain student educational materials as directed.
- Collect and chart student data as directed.
- Maintain student confidentiality.
- Provide support services, including, but not limited to, hall escort/travel, lunch room and playground activities, entering and exiting buses/transportation, and restroom/toileting assistance (if needed).
- Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences as directed by the Intervention Specialist, Principal, or Supervisor.
- Abide by the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of The McDonald Local Schools Board of Education and any other educational entity.
Salary: - Per Negotiated Contractual Agreement.
- *Employment upon verification of proper certificate and completion of McDonald Local Schools' pre-employment requirements.
