Walnut Grove School District is seeking a passionate and student-centered K–12 Special Education Teacher to join our team. This position may include additional responsibilities as a Process Coordinator, depending on qualifications and district needs. The Special Education Teacher will provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs across grades K–12. Responsibilities include developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), providing direct and indirect instructional services, collaborating with general education teachers to support inclusive practices, monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate documentation, communicating effectively with parents and guardians, and ensuring compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
If assigned Process Coordinator duties, the individual will facilitate and coordinate IEP meetings, ensure timelines and compliance requirements are met, support staff with special education procedures and documentation, and serve as a liaison between families, staff, and administration. Qualified applicants must hold a valid state teaching certification in Special Education (K–12 or applicable endorsement), demonstrate strong knowledge of IDEA and compliance requirements, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience across multiple grade levels and prior experience serving as a Process Coordinator or in a similar leadership role is preferred.
