POSITION: Language Arts At Risk ParaProfessional– Dowagiac Middle School 28 hrs/week   

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must meet requirements of NCLB (Highly Qualified).  
• High organizational skills
• Ability to work as a member of a team
• Ability to effectively manage groups of students

JOB DUTIES:

• Work with small groups of students in targeted areas of curriculum
• Highly motivated and follows through with assigned tasks thoroughly 
• Willingness to be flexible and adaptable with daily schedule
• Knowledge of Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse cultural, racial and socio-economic student population
• General computer skills (e.g. word process, create spreadsheets, the ability to find information on the Internet)
• General knowledge and experience using Google Suite and MS Office products
• Classroom experience preferred
• Strong willingness to attend specific training(s) to meet the needs of this position
• Knowledge of NWEA Assessment administration or willingness to be trained

SALARY: District Pay Scale
