What are the duties and responsibilities?

• Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in math for students of varying ages and skill levels. 
• Assist students in understanding math concepts across subjects such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and pre-calculus. 
• Develop individualized learning plans based on student needs, progress, and curriculum requirements. 
• Use a variety of instructional techniques to explain concepts clearly and effectively. 
• Track and assess student progress, providing feedback and adjusting instructional strategies as needed. 
• Support students with homework, test preparation, and class assignments. 
• Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills in mathematical contexts. 
• Maintain accurate session records and communicate regularly with parents, teachers, or program staff. 
• Create a positive, supportive, and respectful learning environment. 
• Stay current with educational best practices and relevant curriculum standards. 

What do you bring? 

• A Certified Math Teacher 
• Willingness to go through (and pass!) the required clearances and training to ensure the safety and security of our children, including: four clearances, mandated reporter training, a physical, and TB test. This can typically be accomplished within a week to get you started. 
• Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods of time, as these happen throughout the eight-hour day.
