  •   Clever RV is seeking a skilled and compassionate person to assist students as a paraprofessional.  

    Job Title: Clever RV School Special Education Aide or Paraprofessional
    Qualifications:
    • 60 hours of post-secondary education, Substitute certification or completion of appropriate Praxis certification
    Reports to:
    • Director of Special Education and Building Principal 
    Type of Position:
    • Non-exempt
    Summary: The Clever RV School Special Education Aide or Paraprofessional is a crucial support role responsible for implementing special education or related services in a classroom setting and providing direct assistance to students with disabilities.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    1. Instructional Support:
      • Work under the direct supervision of a Special Education teacher to provide instructional services.
      • Assist students in completing instructional activities.
    2. Behavior Management:
      • Assist in managing the behavior of students to create a conducive learning environment.
    3. IEP Implementation:
      • Assist in the supervision of students to meet individual needs and implement IEP goals and/or objectives.
    4. Physical Assistance:
      • Provide physical assistance based on student needs, including lifting, transferring, moving between classes, feeding, toileting, and physical intervention.
    5. Training Participation:
      • Participate in training activities as required by the District to enhance skills and knowledge.
    6. Additional Duties:
      • Perform other duties directed by the principal or supervising teacher, related to facilitating success (instructional, social, behavioral) for students with disabilities.
    7. Supervision:
      • Supervise students during non-instructional times, such as lunch periods, entering/leaving buses, and duty before/during/after school.
    8. Confidentiality:
      • Maintain confidentiality of information about children and their families in accordance with Board policy and law.
