Position :   Paraprofessional

Location:   Stockbridge Junior/Senior High School 6.5 hours per day

Pay Rate:  Per SMESPA Contract

Date(s):     25-26 School Year

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers in implementing daily routines, lessons, and individualized instruction.
• Provide assistance to students with disabilities aligned with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Support students using positive and proactive strategies.
• Assist with personal care needs, which may include toileting.
• Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Facilitate individual learning activities that build social and academic skills.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions and lunch
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries at all times.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and related service providers.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with youth and/or students with disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive environment for all learners.
• Punctual, reliable and predictable attendance is required
