Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team at O'Leary Middle School as a Paraprofessional. This full-time position involves supporting students and teachers in a dynamic educational environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering student growth, promoting a positive learning atmosphere, and assisting in the implementation of educational programs.

Responsibilities
- Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities, by providing individualized attention and assistance.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback and support as necessary.
- Facilitate small group activities and provide additional instruction to reinforce concepts taught in class.
- Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in educational practices.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student success.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or school administration.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or higher in education or a related field is preferred.

- Requires two years of college, an AA degree, or successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment (Praxis Exam).
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
- Basic knowledge of educational practices and child development principles.
- Must pass background checks and meet any other requirements as mandated by the school district.
