Paraprofessional, Special Education: Emerson Elementary School; 2024-2025 school year; Monday through Friday, not to exceed six (6) paid hours per day with 30 minutes unpaid lunch (61 paid hours every two weeks to allow for a 30 minute weekly meeting with teacher); behavioral focused unit, must be willing to be trained in crisis prevention intervention training; must have or obtain an aide permit and meet the qualifications of Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA); responsible to building principal, Director/ Coordinator of Student Services, and/or designee.
To Meet ESSA requirements: 1. Have earned at least 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours from an Institution of Higher Education; 2. Hold at least an Associate’s Degree; or 3. Successfully completed the ODE State Mandated Para Assessment. If you have not met one of the three above, must be willing to successful complete number 3, the Ohio Para Assessment.
Paraprofessionals may be required to perform various medical and/or health-related procedures, including lifting, toileting, and feeding, as a part of their job duties. In situations where invasive medical procedures are required, specific training will be provided.
