PARAPROFESSIONAL - SPECIAL SERVICES

Summary:
The Paraprofessional - Special Services will work under the direction of the Director of Special Services and will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities. This is a full-time position located at the District Office.

Responsibilities:
- Work with students with disabilities in a variety of settings, including the classroom, resource room, and other specialized settings
- Assist in the implementation of IEPs, including providing support to students in academic, social, and behavioral areas
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support student learning and progress
- Provide support to students in developing independent living skills, as appropriate
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with teachers and parents/guardians
- Attend meetings and trainings as required

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents/guardians, and other professionals
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist students with physical needs, as necessary
