The Dunklin R-5 School District is seeking enthusiastic and student-centered individuals to fill full-time Paraprofessional positions. As a paraprofessional, you will help teachers support students. The successful candidate(s) will be part of a high-energy and enthusiastic team of professionals, dedicated to meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of students. Must be able to work with students and staff to provide academic, social, and behavioral support for the Dunklin R-5 School District.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Reinforce lessons by reviewing material one-on-one or in small groups
· Guide and instruct students on proper classroom behavior and social interactions
· Help the teacher keep records and data for reporting purposes
· Supervise students during lunch and recess
· Supervise students between classes and on field trips
· Assist students who need extra help and practice learning specific skills and concepts.
Starting Date: Upon Cleared Background
Qualifications: 60 college hours or be willing to pass a 20-hour training offered by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Salary: Based on education, training, and/or certification (min pay at 20 hours $15.00 per hour). Substitute Certification with 60 college hours. Step 1; $16.45 per hour
Benefits: Board-paid health, Life, and Dental Insurance. Employees will be offered, on a fee basis, in-district childcare for ages birth through two, with preschool available from ages 3 to 5. PSRS Retirement, optional supplemental insurance plans, and optional 403b; 457 plans. Nine (9) Personal Days, Paid Jury Duty, and five (5) Paid Bereavement Days.
