Qualifications:
Duties:
- Associates Degree or 48 college credits attained or Workkeys
- Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
- Such alternatives found to be appropriate
- Experience working with children who have social, emotional, and behavioral disabilities a plus.
Duties:
- Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning
- Alert the teacher of any problems or special information about students
- Participate in inservice training programs, as assigned
- Guide independent study, enrichment work and remedial work assigned by the teacher
- Relate to students within the classroom in a manner consistent with the teacher's philosophy in the area of discipline and instruction
- Other duties as may be assigned
- Experience working with special needs students preferred Salary: To commensurate with the West Springfield Paraprofessional (Unit D) contract (salary range: $17.67/hr-$22.96/hr)
