Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Certified or Permit)
Reports To: Coordinator/Case Manager, Instructional Coach – Special Education, or Director of Special Education
About the Role:
We’re looking for a passionate Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction and support for students with disabilities. You’ll implement IEPs, manage classroom behavior, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.
What You’ll Do:
Deliver individual and small-group instruction aligned with the general education curriculum
Prepare and manage IEPs in collaboration with families and IEP teams
Apply classroom modifications, accommodations, and behavior interventions
Consult with teachers and staff to support student learning
Participate in Child Study, eligibility, and interdisciplinary team meetings
Maintain accurate student records and track progress
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in education (Certified teachers: current teaching certificate with special education endorsement; Permit teachers: enrolled in a certification program and eligible for a special education permit)
Knowledge of K-12 special education requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based tools
Professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
