Lakeside Educational Network is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher - Elementary to join the team at our Souderton Vantage Academy campus in Souderton, PA. Teaching ELA, math, science, and/or social studies classes to students in grades 5 & 6 students who require learning and emotional support. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a desire to create a supportive and trauma-informed educational environment.

Special Education Teacher - Elementary Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Special Education Teacher - Elementary may include:

• Teaching or co-teaching classes for students with diverse learning needs.
• Managing resource room support to provide individualized and small-group instruction.
• Serving as an IEP case manager, which includes developing, implementing, and monitoring student plans.
• Collaborating with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success.
• Morning, lunch, and other day-to-day duties as needed.  

Special Education Teacher - Elementary Qualifications:

• PA Special Education Teaching Certification is required.
• Certification at the elementary level is preferred.
• Candidates must have experience or a desire to work in a trauma-informed environment with students who have faced challenges in their educational journey.

 Special Education Teacher - Elementary Benefits & Compensation

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: $47,000.00 - $61,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience.

Special Education Teacher - Elementary job requirements

Pennsylvania Special Education and Elementary teaching certificate for grades 5-6. 

Previous experience working with at risk students encouraged but not required.
