Special Education Teacher- Emotional Support (Contracted)

Qualifications: Special Education PK-12

Additional Information: The teacher is responsible for individualizing instruction to meet the needs of various learners as a case manager. This individual must demonstrate competency in adolescent development and educational best practices. The teacher must be an instructional leader who is student-centered, able to create and foster a productive  learning environment for students, plan Standards-based lessons, deliver differentiated instruction, utilize various assessment practices to inform instruction and engage in continual reflection of teacher effectiveness.  This teacher will be required to write individualized education plans, positive behavior support plans, progress monitor, and communicate with parents and staff on a regular basis.

Special Education Teachers also receive an additional annual stipend in the amount of $2,000!
