Summary:
Seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (Resource Specialist Program – RSP). The teacher will provide specialized academic instruction and support to students with mild to moderate disabilities, ensuring they have access to the general education curriculum while addressing their individual learning needs. This role is ideal for credentialed educators who are collaborative, equity-focused, and committed to fostering inclusive classrooms where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide specialized academic instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure students’ access to grade-level curriculum.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications.
• Employ research-based instructional strategies tailored to diverse learning needs.
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and compliance documentation.
• Partner with parents, caregivers, and service providers to support student growth and success.
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.

Experience You’ll Need:

• Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential (Mild/Moderate).
• Authorization to teach students with Autism (Preferred).
• English Learner Authorization (ELD/SDAIE, CLAD, CTEL, or 2042).
• Strong understanding of inclusive practices and differentiated instruction.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and culturally responsive teaching.
