Position: Two (2) Flexible Paraprofessional
Position will be assigned by Human Resources or designee
Hours: 7.00 hours per day – daily work times determined by building level and program assigned
Qualifications:
1. Hold a valid aide’s certificate.
2. Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
3. Must be ESEA qualified.
4. Be efficient, organized, reliable, and prompt.
5. Be able to intervene appropriately in accordance with the IEP’s.
6. Demonstrate good personal character and maturity, thus treats information in a professional manner, maintaining total confidentiality about students and their progress.
7. Be able to work with a variety of teaching staff for the benefit of students.
8. Demonstrate a sincere interest in children, helping children with disabilities improve their quality of life that enhances their ability to benefit from education.
9. Must have good attendance.
10. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
Training Requirements:
1. Must be, or be willing to become CPI certified and/or equivalent certification.
2. Must be willing to participate in training activities offered.
Reports To: Assigned Teacher and Director of Special Education
Terms of Employment: Work schedule will be days in session (there is no guarantee for number of days worked). Extra time must be approved by supervisor in advance.
Salary: As per the negotiated agreement.
