Position Summary 

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support students in an elementary school setting. The Classroom Paraprofessional will work closely with Kindergarten teachers and other staff to provide assistance to students, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals. The position requires a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. This position is benefit eligible working 8:45-3:45pm, Mon-Fri, student days only, approximately 32.5 hours per week.

 Responsibilities

 ·         Maintain a safe and positive learning environment, addressing any behavioral issues in accordance with school policies.

·         Collaborate with other education professionals to support student needs.

·         Assist with administrative tasks, including record-keeping and preparing materials for lessons.

·         Support students during instructional and non-instructional activities.

·         Support other school functions as needed.

 Qualifications

 ·         High school diploma or equivalent is required.

·         An associate degree or higher in education, or passing ETS Paraprofessional exam score, is preferred.

·         Previous experience working with children is highly desirable.

·         Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.

·         Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

·         Must pass background checks and comply with state and district requirements for working with students.

 Physical Requirements

 ·         Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move about the building and campus to assist students.

·         May require and employee to lift and/or move heavy objects.
