Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support our educational initiatives as a Migrant Paraprofessional. This full-time position for the district involves working closely with students from migrant backgrounds, their families, and educators to facilitate academic success and promote a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering inclusivity and providing essential resources to help students navigate their educational journey.

Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in the implementation of instructional programs tailored to the needs of migrant students.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students to enhance their understanding of academic content.
- Collaborate with educators to develop and adapt lesson plans and materials that accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Serve as a liaison between migrant families and the school district, ensuring effective communication and support.
- Assist in the identification of resources and services available to migrant families, including academic, social, and health services.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to migrant education.
- Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to teachers and administrators.
- Help organize and facilitate community outreach programs and events aimed at supporting migrant families.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students, families, and staff.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children, particularly in an educational or support role.
- Familiarity with the challenges faced by migrant families and a commitment to advocating for their needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (or another relevant language) is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities within the educational environment.
