Position Details: Special Education Teacher<\/h2>
  • Title:<\/b> Special Education Teacher<\/li>
  • Location:<\/b> Steger, IL<\/li>
  • Duration:<\/b> ASAP to 25 \- 26 School year end<\/li>
  • Onsite\/Virtual:<\/b> Onsite<\/li>
  • Position Type:<\/b> Contract<\/li>
  • Working Hours:<\/b> 30\-35 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday<\/li>
  • Student Age Group:<\/b>  K\-1 self\-contained life skills classroom<\/li>
  • Case Load:<\/b> 8 to 10 students<\/li> <\/ul>

    Responsibilities: SpEd Teacher<\/h2>
    • Teach in a K\-1 self\-contained life skills classroom.<\/li>
    • Support and accommodate 8 to 10 students, several of whom have an Autism diagnosis.<\/li>
    • Assist students who are non\-verbal or have limited verbal abilities.<\/li>
    • Provide support to students typically with assistance from paraprofessionals.<\/li>
    • Collaborate with paraprofessionals and other school staff.<\/li>
    • Work on IEPs and or any other relevant tasks assigned.<\/li> <\/ul>

      Qualifications: Special Education Teacher<\/h2>
      • Relevant Bachelors and or Masters degree.<\/li>
      • Active IL PEL license with LBS1 endorsment.<\/li>
      • At least 1 year of SPED teacher experience preferred.<\/li>
      • Experience with ULS preferred.<\/li> <\/ul><\/td> <\/tr>
