Position Details:<\/h2>
  • Title:<\/b> Special Education Teacher<\/li>
  • Location:<\/b> Woodbury, TN<\/li>
  • Duration:<\/b> April 6th, 2026 to May 20th, 2026<\/li>
  • Onsite\/Virtual:<\/b> Onsite<\/li>
  • Position Type:<\/b> Contract<\/li>
  • Working Hours:<\/b> 35 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday<\/li>
  • Student Age Group: <\/b>Middle School (6\-8) Life Skills classroom (severe\/profound)<\/li>
  • Case Load: <\/b>9 to 10 kids<\/li> <\/ul>

    Responsibilities: Special Education Teacher<\/h2>
    • Teach in a CDC (life skills) classroom<\/li>
    • Manage student behavior using de\-escalation strategies<\/li>
    • Follow Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)<\/li>
    • Develop Instructionally Appropriate IEPs<\/li>
    • Implement data collection practices<\/li>
    • Communicate clearly with parents, administration, and district coordinator while maintaining confidentiality<\/li>
    • Perform basic clerical tasks such as email and documentation<\/li> <\/ul>

      Qualifications: SpEd Teacher<\/h2>
      • Hold a 461 endorsement<\/li>
      • Experience teaching in a CDC (life skills) classroom<\/li>
      • Experience managing student behavior<\/li>
      • Experience developing Instructionally Appropriate IEPs<\/li>
      • All teachers shall be licensed in accordance with state law and the regulations of the Tennessee Department of Education.<\/li>
      • Holds a Bachelors or Masters Degree as needed.<\/li> <\/ul><\/td> <\/tr>
